As Douglas County continues to grow, county planners work with developers, community leaders, and the public to determine what proposed projects, like Sterling Ranch, get the green light. There are three Douglas County commissioners who ultimately have the final say, by majority vote, on whether a proposed development gets zoning or rezoning approval.
